We're all eagerly awaiting season 5 of Netflix's royal period drama The Crown, and while we still don't have an official debut date (it seems likely that the show won't return until 2022), that doesn't mean that they aren't still giving us plenty to look forward to. Earlier this month we got our first look at Imelda Staunton in costume as Queen Elizabeth II (she'll be taking over the role from Olivia Colman for season 5) and now we've gotten a peek at the show's new Princess Diana and Prince Charles as well.

In the new production stills, we see Elizabeth Debicki as the Princess of Wales looking rather forlorn as she lays on a couch reading a letter. Debicki, who fans may know from her work in Tenet, The Night Manager, and The Great Gatsby, will be taking on the role which Emma Corrin introduced in season 4.

Dominic West, who recently appeared in The Pursuit of Love is fast becoming a favorite for fans of period dramas. In addition to his role as Prince Charles in season 5 of The Crown, he also has a part in the upcoming Downton Abbey film sequel. In the new still, his Charles appears pensive, looking out into the distance.

Given the time period of the early '90s, fans are certainly expecting more drama between Charles and Diana in season 5. Andrew Morton, who published a groundbreaking biography of Princess Diana, Diana: Her True Story, in 1992, has said that season 5 will cover the tapes Diana made, which he used to write the books, was well as her infamous 1995 Panorama interview, in which she referred to Prince Charles's affair with Camilla by saying: "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded."
