This Croissant Casserole Wins Brunch

This casserole is a really big deal. Basically you will become the hero to anyone you to share it share it with. It will make you instantaneous new friends and can resolve peace between fighting friends. I'm not being dramatic - it's that good.

You're going to want to get decent croissants for this. I'm not advising you to go out and spend $50 on gourmet pastries, but I also would not encourage you to use anything that comes packaged individually in a plastic pouch. Bottom line: You want somewhat legit flaky croissants for this.
The next important ingredient is the cheese. The Delish kitchen team is partial to the gruyère + mozzarella combo, but you do you. Sharp white cheddar would be great, too. Everything else is pretty classic for a brunch bake: Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, and cayenne. (Thyme and chives too if you're feeling fancy.) Pour the mixture over the croissants and bake it until you can't stand it anymore. Warning: The aroma that ensues while baking is absolutely intoxicating.
