Crocs Sport Mode shoes just launched at DICK’S Sporting Goods — it’s no longer just a joke

A few years ago, people on the internet started to refer to putting their Crocs in “sport mode.” To do so, you move the strap that usually rests on the top of the clog to the back around your ankle. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should wear them for any real strenuous activity or workout, but shifting the straps will help you keep the shoes on better. Alas, the brand is in on the joke and finally made a real Sport Mode shoe.

The Crocs Classic Hiker Sport Mode Clogs and the Crocs Classic Terrain Sport Mode Clogs are now available exclusively at DICK’S Sporting Goods. And they really will give you more stability and traction than the originals.

Crocs already offers a hiker version of its shoes, but the new Classic Hiker Sport Mode Clogs are white and have an added 3/8 inch of height in the sole, and they a padded strap with a hoop and look closure for a better fit. Additionally, they have a sawtooth-style outsole with rubber all around it. Finally, these new shoes come with six Sport Jibbitz™ charms for customizing your shoes.

The Crocs Classic Terrain Sport Mode Clogs are pretty much the same and even come with charms, but the sole is a lower platform, and they come in black.

Both styles are available in sizes for men and women, but the brand suggests sizing up to the next whole size if you usually choose a half size. (For example, if you’re usually a 7.5, go with the 8.)

If you really want to put your Crocs in “sport mode,” like for real — these are the shoes to get. They’re perfect for summer concerts, beach trips, running errands and anywhere else you may need just a little extra support.
