Crocs and McDonald’s Collaborate on Nostalgic Footwear Collection Inspired by Ronald, Hamburglar, Birdie and Grimace
Adding to Crocs’ impressive list of collaborators in 2023, the footwear brand has now collaborated with popular fast-food chain McDonald’s.
Announced on Tuesday, the collaboration features four shoe styles that draw inspiration from McDonald’s beloved mascots, Ronald, Hamburglar, Birdie and Grimace, referencing said characters’ color schemes in each shoe design.

The McDonald’s-inspired shoes are mainly all clog styles. However, Grimace received his very own Cozzzy sandal style lined with heat-wicking faux fur. The purple monster’s sandal features bright purple uppers and elevated platform-esque soles.
The Ronald McDonald-inspired clog features all-red uppers with contrasting yellow and white accents and fry graphics on the insoles.
The Hamburglar-inspired clogs are white and black striped, referencing the aforementioned character’s colorway, with yellow soles. The insoles feature the Hamburglar silhouetted in black. Finally, the Birdie clogs feature bright yellow uppers with equally vibrant hot pink bow accents on the backstraps. Birdie is silhouetted in pink on the insoles.
Crocs x McDonlad’s clogs and sandals are water-friendly, lightweight, quick drying and easy to clean. It’s likely the shoe will come in a wide range of sizes. Based on the official images of the collaborative footwear, the collection also includes Jibbitz inspired by McDonald’s various mascots coinciding with their colorful clogs and sandal counterparts.
The McDonald’s x Crocs collab is McDonald’s first-ever global shoe collaboration and also celebrates a beloved cause in Ronald McDonald House Charities. In honor of the Crocs partnership, McDonald’s is stepping up for RMHC and will make a donation to help support families with children who are sick and give them access to the medical care and resources they need.
This year alone, Crocs has dropped a myriad of unique silhouettes that often feature playful and inventive designs, expanding its footwear horizons in the process.
The brand has dipped its proverbial toes into the worlds of Pop-Tarts, Crayola, Kanghyuk, Disney, Lisa Frank, Minecraft, Ron English, Pokemon and Aries in the past. Through these collaborations, Crocs has proved that their silhouettes are extremely versatile.
Little is known about Crocs’ collaboration with McDonald’s but it’s likely the footwear styles will start rolling out during the first few weeks of November.
