Superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo showed off his killer physique along with his 13-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., in gym photos shared to social media on Thursday.

The father-son training session took place just a day after a career milestone for the Portuguese star, who scored his all-time 876th goal against Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League for a 2–0 win on Wednesday, taking his team Al-Nassr to the quarterfinals.

Ronaldo Jr. is likewise already following in his famous father's footsteps, having signed to Al-Nassr U13 back in October after two seasons on the Juventus youth team.

"Today with my partner," the 39-year-old captioned the series of photos, along with a heart emoji, in which the pair show off matching eight-pack abs.

Ronaldo Jr., who wears a No. 7 jersey just like his dad, has previously expressed hopes that someday the two might someday play on the same team. "My son tells me, 'Dad, hold on a few more years. I want to play with you!'" Ronaldo has previously said.

And that dream may actually come to fruition. At the Globe Soccer Awards last month, when the Al-Nassr forward was asked when he could see himself retiring from the Dubai-based team, he joked that he could still be on the field a decade from now.

"The moment I finish, I don't know to be honest," Ronaldo said at the time. "Of course it will be soon—soon, I mean 10 years more. No I am joking, I don't know, let's see."

If his current gym-bod is any indication, it seems as though Ronaldo could very easily still be playing well into his 40s, if not a decade from now. Time will tell.
