In an unexpected twist of events, Paget Brewster seems to be working on solving her own criminal case. Well, sort of.

In a new post uploaded on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Criminal Minds: Evolution star alarmed fans when she alerted them that she recently got hacked on the social media platform. Adding a photo of what appeared to be a weather report from her local news station, Paget told her followers not to trust any tweets coming from the profile until she could resolve the situation online. What's more, she used the image as a way to prove that this was coming from her and not someone else.

"Someone is aggressively trying to hack my X account," she shared on September 27. "Please ignore anything posted from this until I can figure out what to do. This is a photo of local news right now to time stamp."

Needless to say, seeing the Friends alum's tweet left many of her fans uneasy over how she's doing. As a result, they reached out to her in the comments for moral support.

"Sorry to hear this 💔," one person wrote on Twitter. "Put Garcia on the case!!!" another suggested, referencing Criminal Minds character, FBI technical analyst Penelope Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness). "Whoever's trying to hack Paget's account can you leave and make your own thank you," a different follower requested.

Luckily, it seems like the actress was able to get to the bottom of what was happening. "So, there is a phishing campaign through email where they pretend they are X or Twitter. I fixed it. It’s me."

The news of Paget's X account getting hacked comes less than six months after she voiced her fears about the platform's influx of changes.

Back in April, the Grandfathered actress tweeted she was concerned about being impersonated after the company rolled out the news that X would take away the verified blue checkmark from those who already had accreditation on the site. If they wanted to get it back, they'd need to subscribe to Twitter Blue starting at $8 per month or $84 per year. While others seemingly had the famous symbol re-tacked onto their profiles (like her former co-star Matthew Gray Gubler), Paget's account continues to not have any more verification.
