‘Criminal Minds’ Fans Bombard Paget Brewster After She Looks Unrecognizable in New Pic

For years, Criminal Minds fans have enjoyed seeing Paget Brewster change up her looks for whatever stage she is in life. But rarely do they get a look at the actress pre-fame.

Earlier this month, Twitter user @eprentisscm posted a rarely-seen photo of Paget from her teenage years. In the picture that quickly went viral on the platform, the person noted that it came from the actress' passport when she was 14 years old in 1983. What's more, the image showed her with wavy shoulder-length hair and blunt bangs — reminiscent of the hairstyle she famously wore during various seasons portraying Emily Prentiss in the CBS drama.

After the user declared that the picture was "adorable," they went on to inquire about more details. "I need to ask her if her hair texture is naturally straight or wavy? @pagetpaget your bangs here and your hair seem almost naturally waved/curled," the tweet read.

Shortly after, Paget answered with her candid opinion on the subject. "It’s the worst!" she replied on Twitter on June 6. "Straight on top, curly mess below, no sexy, natural wave. Ha ha ha, we all have hair problems!"

While viewers resonated with the How I Met Your Father guest star disclosing her feelings on the unexpected walk down memory lane, they also shared how much they loved seeing a younger version of Paget ahead of her time on Criminal Minds.

"You're gorgeous always!! ❤️," one person wrote on Twitter. "My hair is all over the place too sometimes!! you’re never alone," another added. "The hair is so cute on you though!!" a different fan responded.

As folks may know, Paget likes to play up with her onscreen looks, most notably letting her hair go gray for the Paramount+ reboot of Criminal Minds: Evolution. As her character tackled aging while working as the unit chief of the BAU, the actress herself embraced her natural beauty. What's more, she spoke out on the subject in a tweet back in January.

"Hi guys. I’m excited about 2023!" Paget wrote at the time. "It’s hard getting older and not doing injections or surgery but I choose that. I’m older. I’m still hard working, inquisitive and sexy. Very sexy."

Now, should Paget debut a curlier hairstyle for Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2, let's just say we'd all be thrilled to see her explore yet another change.
