It may be some time before fans get to see Criminal Minds: Evolution season 2, but it looks like a few cast members got together to support an important cause.

On July 17, actress Kirsten Vangsness (who portrays Penelope Garcia) posted a video on Instagram with co-stars Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss) and Aisha Tyler (Dr. Tara Lewis). Kirsten explained that they were protesting in front of the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles to support the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors' strike, which began a few days prior on July 14. Despite the important reasoning behind their surprise reunion, Kirsten couldn't help but find some humor in their unexpected get-together.

"Out in these streets with @pagetpagetgram and @aishatyler," she captioned the clip. "Proof of their non-stop glamour and my non-stop glasses sliding down my face. Paget’s little face at the end JOYS me."

When fans saw the trio back together ahead of filming season 2, they were immediately thrilled. Many were also impressed by Kirsten, Paget and Aisha being out on the picket line fighting for their fellow actors.

"The holy trinity 😤," one person wrote in the comments on Instagram. "I'm absolutely so happy to see you three together and fighting together, love this!!" another agreed. "Three amazing and inspiring ladies! ❤️," a different follower declared.

While it's lovely to see Kirsten, Paget and Aisha side-by-side, it's important to note that the Paramount+ drama is one of the many projects affected by both the SAG-AFTRA and WGA writers' strikes (the latter of which began in May). When speaking to TVInsider about the projected timeframe for production, Kirsten revealed that the cast was ready to start filming back in the spring but it didn't come to fruition.

"We were actually wanting to go back," she told the outlet. "They pushed us off. We could have had everybody in our group working by [last] April, but it got pushed and pushed because I’m sure that they thought there was going to be a strike... and here we are."
