Creepy python climbing up staircase has Twitter spooked: ‘I would have screamed’

A video of a giant snake slithering around a home has people on Twitter freaking out.

Twitter user @susantananda3 posted the clip with the caption, “To go up, one doesn’t need a staircase every time.” In the footage, a massive snake in someone’s home ditched the stairs and opted to use the banister to slowly writhe upward.

Watch this Brooklyn bedroom go from drab to fabulous in one day:

The snake’s slow but determined ascent up the staircase left people stunned and racked up over 35,000 views.

“They freaking can climb anywhere even the tallest tree imagine running down the stairs and you find this my heart would explode,” @KhatriKaur wrote in a tweet.

“I can only imagine the courage of the guy who shot the video!” @areheb129 said in a caption.

“They don’t want to come here. Happens when you encroach on their land,” @sadhankrc commented on Twitter.

“I would have screamed n fainted providing full meals for d ‘guest,'” @QueenBeeBusy replied in a tweet.

“A normal day in Australia,” @MPanicke1 responded on Twitter.

According to research by Siena College assistant professor of biology Greg Byrnes, Ph.D., snakes climb “by squeezing their muscles, much in the same way human beings would use their hands to grip a rope while climbing.” They expel a ton of energy just by holding on, which is why they don’t climb very quickly. Lucky for humans!

See this bedroom turn into a vibrant oasis after an incredible one-day renovation:
