Abandoned McDonald's Reveals Shocking Old PricesChris Luckhardt/YouTube

Whenever a vintage fast food menu from the '90s resurfaces online, its super-low prices are always surprising. And given this week's frenzied debate about "dynamic pricing," inflation, and other unpleasantries, a menu from an old abandoned McDonald's has the internet in a tale spin.

A YouTube video uploaded by photographer Chris Luckhardt gives viewers a glimpse at an abandoned, overgrown McDonald's on Adak Island, Alaska.

Luckhardt provides some insight about Adak Island and its local Mickey D's in the description of his video. According to Luckhardt, the McDonald's was located on a U.S. military base that's also been abandoned. The restaurant opened in July 1986 and closed its doors in 1994 when the Navy began gradually decommissioning the base.

Shockingly, despite the McDonald's being closed for 30 years, it appears frozen in time in Luckhardt's video. Its appearance hasn't changed much, aside from a few decades' worth of wear and tear. But compared to today, the prices on the menu are ancient artifacts from a bygone era.

The Big Mac is listed on the decades-old menu for $2.45. Today, that same Big Mac would cost you approximately $7.75 in Anchorage, Alaska (one of Adak Island's closest U.S. neighbors, despite being over 1,000 miles away). Even the Big Mac Extra Value Meal, listed on the menu for $4.95, is far cheaper than a single Big Mac today. Some McDonald's locations are selling Big Mac meals for $18 today.

The breakfast items featured on the Adak Island menu were also insanely affordable compared to today's prices. In 1994, an Egg McMuffin would cost you just $1.95 while a Sausage Biscuit was a bit cheaper at $1.55. A McDonald's location in Fairfield, CT, went viral earlier this year for selling an Egg McMuffin for $7.29,
