We've compiled a list of meal deals, special events, and mouth-watering offerings at local eateries and markets to consider when planning your next night on the town, or a quick stop for a tasty treat.

This week, we've got a new special from Lorenzo's where you can create your own pasta dish. Plus, there are specials, new menu items, and April school vacation events.

Pasta-bilities special at Lorenzo’s

Why explore the possibilities, when you can explore the pasta-bilities?

Lorenzo’s Italian Restaurant, 500 W. Grove St., Middleboro, has a new pasta-bilities special on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 3 to 8 p.m., for $21.95.

It also includes homemade soup or a fresh garden salad.

There are three steps:

Step one: choose your fresh pasta. They’ve got spaghetti, shells, rigatoni, or fettuccine. Or you can substitute meat ravioli, cheese ravioli, or homemade potato gnocchi for $4.25.

Step two: choose your homemade sauce. Pick from Lorenzo’s tomato sauce, meat sauce with ground linguiça, alfredo, scampi, fra diavolo, gorgonzola, pesto cream, garlic and oil, or vodka sauce.

Step three: choose your protein. Choose between sauteed shrimp, marinated steak tips, grilled chicken, homemade Italian sausage, sauteed vegetables, or crispy chicken tenders.

For an additional $1.95, you can also add fresh mushrooms, baby spinach, steamed broccoli, or roasted red peppers.

This special is only for dine-in customers.

Islands Cafe & Bakery celebrates first anniversary

Islands Cafe & Bakery, 91 Weir St., Taunton, recently celebrated its first anniversary.

They thanked their customers and supporters in a celebratory Facebook post, saying, “We hope to continue to do our best in providing nothing but delicious, and traditional Cape Verdean foods and desserts to the Taunton community!”

Kids eat free at the 99 if the Red Sox win

With baseball season in swing, 99 Restaurant & Pub is bringing back its kids eat free promotion.

Now until the end of the regular MLB season, if the Red Sox win, enjoy a free kids’ meal, with the purchase of an adult entree.

To get the deal, guests must be 99 rewards members. You can sign up at 99restaurants.com/rewards.

Are you a gardener, or do you compost?

The Neighbors Coffee & Co., 32 Weir St., Taunton, has spent coffee grounds for your gardens or compost bins!

They said in a recent Facebook post that you just need to bring your own bucket, and you can take as much as you need.

April vacation events at Riverhouse

Riverhouse, 260 W. Water St., Taunton, has some plans for April school vacation week.

On Sunday, April 14, have brunch with Tiana (“The Princess and the Frog”) from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

Dinner with Tiana is on Monday, April 15, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 16, and Wednesday, April 17, have dinner with Bluey, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Frozen & Friends will be stopping by on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and from 3 to 6 p.m., respectively.

Flavor of the month at Dough Licious Pizza

Dough Licious Pizza, 539 Berkley St., Berkley, has announced April’s new pizza flavor: roasted red chicken.

It has garlic butter and marinara sauce as the base, three-blend pizza cheese, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, onions, green peppers, and a sprinkle of feta, oregano, and basil.

Dine-in and take-out customers can ask their server for a free sample.
