Crazy manicure design creates a mini-fish tank — plus a live fish

Instagram beauty trends are known for being crazy, and it seems as though they’re just getting crazier. Most recently, a nail salon known for creating insane nail art used a live fish in a manicure that was admittedly one for the ‘gram. In a post that has already acquired over a million views, Moscow-based salon Nail Sunny shows the process of creating fish tank nail art, where one thing’s for sure: You can’t have a fish tank without a fish.

The sped-up tutorial shows how the nail technician curled polish around a circular object to create the fish tank itself. Before it was applied to some chrome blue nails, a breathing hole was cut out at the top and a fish was eventually placed inside with some water.

Luckily, the salon included a disclaimer assuring that “no fish were harmed during the filming” and that the design was only kept on for five minutes for the purpose of capturing a photo. Many of the salon’s other over-the-top looks seem to be created with the same intention, as technicians create numerous viral looks. From a miniature version of one of Huda Beauty’s popular eyeshadow palettes to a light-up mani for Halloween, Nail Sunny undoubtedly does some of the most insane manis you’ve ever seen.
