Here Are Some of the Craziest Behind-the-scenes Experiences Members Can Get With Marriott’s New Travel Program

Customers who are part of Marriott Bonvoy — Marriott International’s new unified travel program replacing the brand’s previous loyalty offerings under Starwood Preferred Guest, Marriott Rewards, and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programs — can look forward to a slew of upcoming unforgettable experiences to take part in.

With Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International provides travelers with behind-the-scenes experiences across some of the most popular sports events, culinary events and spaces, musical engagements, and more.

Customers can choose from some 120,000 different types of experiences under Marriott Bonvoy, with options that range from tours and activities in cities across the globe to bespoke experiences like access to private concerts, traveling to popular games with a sports team, and cooking alongside celebrity chefs.

Going beyond just a loyalty program to offer a travel program that also focuses on unforgettable experiences, Marriot Bonvoy will include a range of partners to offer members exclusive experiences to noted events across the globe.

For example, through a partnership with Manchester United, members will be able to gain exclusive access to the Marriott Bonvoy suite at matches, in addition to behind-the-scenes experiences like shadowing stadium announcers before games and stepping into dressing rooms to see a side of the sport most fans never get to.

Formula One fans can look forward to VIP tickets to races at locations in Melbourne, Bahrain, and Shanghai, in addition to driving experiences and meet-and-greets with five-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.

The brand also has a partnership with the Universal Music Group, giving members access to events like the Hong Kong Sevens and Maroon 5's Red Pill Blues Tour.

Members can take part in popular events across the globe, including at the Dubai Jazz Festival, where they will get lounge access and the opportunity to meet Alicia Keys, and at Coachella, where branded tents and yurts will be available in addition to VIP area access and a dinner for two in the VIP Rose Garden.

Through its longstanding partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the brand will also provide members with the ability to not only view the red carpet but also gain access to Vanity Fair's Oscars party and the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars party.

While the program offers experiences to noted annual events worth traveling for, like the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest, it also offers experiences that locals can take advantage of in their respective hometowns.

“The more we get deeper with special events, the more we can craft exclusive experiences for members there, and that’s what we want Bonvoy to be known for, for the joy of travel and wonderful experiences that are truly unique to being a member,” Marriott International Global Marketing Officer Karin Timpone told Travel + Leisure.

By joining, travelers can get access to memories that sometimes money can’t even buy, from a DJ class with Grammy award winner Zedd to spending the night inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium to be the first person to wake up for the Super Bowl.

These are just some of the experiences that Marriott Bonvoy members can look forward to, with additional offerings including experiences at the NCAA Final Four, at Bayern Munich, and at the World Golf Championships.
