Because Crankworx Cairns is held during the World Cup season, some of the events like Downhill will attract fewer professional riders.

Still, the classic Crankworx events like slopestyle and speed and style will bring out the usual suspects of Crankworx specialists.

Slopestyle is the discipline considered by many to be the highlight of Crankworx. Slope fans will be especially excited after the men’s competition was canceled in Rotorua this March due to financial disputes between the organizers and the riders.

Thankfully the two sides reached an agreement and Slopestyle will proceed for both men and women for the first time in Cairns.
