Crafty mom surprises daughter with a ‘grown-up’ bedroom makeover: ‘She’s clearly so loved’
A mom’s thoughtful bedroom makeover for her daughter went viral.
TikToker @kileerainbow vlogs about motherhood, home decor and travel. When her 9-year-old daughter Kadence went to stay with her dad for a few weeks, it was the perfect opportunity for the mom to upgrade the little girl’s room.

“This summer, I wanted to surprise her by redoing her room while she was gone. I started out by painting the walls in her room,” the mom said. “And getting a few new pieces to redo to give her room the boho vibe that I know she wanted.”
The mother was able to get a dresser off of the Facebook marketplace for $50. She sanded it down and repainted it so it looked like new. To spruce up the bedroom some more, she painted an accent wall in clary sage. She also sorted Kadence’s clothes and organized everything for her.
“I absolutely loved doing this project for her,” she said. “It was so fun to give her room a new grownup vibe now that she’s getting a little bit older. I am so proud of how this turned out.”

The stunning transformation racked up 5.4 million views on TikTok.
“She’s clearly so loved,” a user wrote.
“I bet she appreciates this so much,” another said.
“My dad this for me while I was away and it’s honestly so so sweet,” someone added.
When Kadence saw the room for the first time in a follow-up video, she appreciated her mom’s effort.
“Oh my god, I love it!” Kadence exclaimed. “Oh my goodness, it’s so nice in here. Look at this place. It’s beautiful!”
