Gigi Hadid went comfy-chic for the opening of her New York City Guest in Residence pop-up store in New York City. The model paired a pair of the Ugg Classic Mini Platform Boots with a bright blue tracksuit.

Platform Uggs have actually been around since 2020, but we all know how that year went. Nowadays, some famous names are prioritizing comfort and style by rocking the so-soft boots in public and on social media.

Jennifer Garner danced around in the Ugg Ultra Mini boots in an Instagram video mash-up taken during a fitting. Other models, including Bella Hadid, Elsa Hosk, Adut Akech and Kendall Jenner, have all been spotted in them. And actress Keke Palmer showed off a pair of Classic Ultra Mini Platform boots in a digital-first campaign to kick off fall.

The same Ugg Classic Mini Platform Boots Gigi sported are available in chestnut, radish and black for $160 on the brand’s website. The two-inch platform will have pals thinking you grew since your last gathering, but the soft sheepskin exterior and fuzzy wool insoles are the same as the original Uggs.

The Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boots are a bit harder to come by. Sold out in the chestnut color Akech recently wore on the streets of NYC, it’s available to members only in black and forest night for $150.

You can still get platform Uggs that hang around the ankle, though. The elastic slingback strap adds a unique element to the Ugg Funkette Genuine Shearling Slipper, which is $130 at Nordstrom. The slippers, stylish enough to rock in public, are an ideal transitional piece for fall and pair perfectly with warmer winter days in parts of California and the southern U.S.

Comfy and celeb-approved as Ugg platform boots are, you may not want to splurge on a pair. BEARPAW has a couple of options available at a fraction of the cost. The first, the Women’s Retro Alyssa, has a smaller platform than UGGs (1 inch). But the boots, available in stone and black II for $47.99 on Amazon, add some height and are comfortable and soft inside.

The Women’s Retro Elle, available for $59.99 on Amazon, falls just below the knee, keeping legs a little warmer than the mini options from Ugg. The multi-hue platform, which varies based on which color boot you choose, makes this option pop.

Finally, if you love the idea of shearling platform boots but want something that can withstand the outdoor elements, consider SOREL’s Women's Joan of Arctic Next Waterproof Boot. At $219.95, these platform boots with shearling cuffs on the outside are a bit pricy. But the durability makes them a stylish investment.
