Hyatt-owned luxury brand Andaz just opened its first property in Thailand on Jan. 15, luring travelers with luxe accommodations, a picture-perfect waterfront location, and immersive local experiences.

Nestled among decades-old trees and lush greenery on a quiet stretch of the famous Tawanron Beach between the vibrant beach town of Jomtien and the small fishing village Bang Saray, the 204-room Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is a tranquil retreat offering upscale accommodations, five-star amenities, and proximity to some of the area’s most noteworthy attractions. The property is teaming up with local artisans and brands to immerse travelers in authentic Thai experiences.

“Marking our second Andaz resort property in Asia Pacific, Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is located on a tranquil oceanfront sanctuary with beautiful sunsets where guests can reconnect with nature and discover Thai culture,” Carina Chorengel, a Hyatt Hotels and Resorts senior vice president, told Travel + Leisure.

The architecture and décor of the property blend local elements with modern influences. Created by award-winning architects A49 Limited and PIA Interior, the guest rooms and common areas are clad in natural materials such as wood, rattan, and a soothing neutral palette in sync with the property’s stunning surroundings. The resort, which took over a former private estate, features beachfront suites, rooms with direct lagoon access, and newly built four- and six-bedroom residences with top-notch amenities such as outdoor decks, private pools, and butlers. Guest rooms include balconies, hanging chairs, and custom bath toiletries by Thai beauty and wellness brand Panpuri.

One of the resort’s most unique spaces is a restored tea house, “Ruen Thai,” which has been transformed into a private space for meditation, afternoon tea, and other ceremonies.
