Courteney Cox Shares Old Commercial on Instagram (and Wow, Her Hair…)

It’s not every day that we see a throwback video of Courteney Cox from her commercial days. Yet, here we are—watching the Friends alum recreate an old advertisement she filmed for the feminine care product, Tampax.
Just a few days ago, Cox shared the old commercial clip on Instagram. In the short video, the actress rocked a navy blue shirt, purple tights and leg warmers (and of course, we just have to mention the retro ‘80s hairdo).
But, instead of talking about the tampon product, the Scream star chose to put her own, modern spin on the ad and talk about something every woman must experience in her life: menopause.
“Did your life completely change because of menopause?” she asks her viewers. “Still getting hot flashes? Let me tell it to you straight. Menopause can change the way you feel about getting older. Menopause will eat you alive. It’s horrible. Nothing else can do that.”
The Shining Vale star starts to list how menopause can affect a woman’s body. “Plus, you get the added bonus of drier skin and getting bald patches, now that’s something. Remember, there is nothing good about menopause. It actually changes how you feel about getting older.”

Some of Cox’s celebrity friends loved her updated take on the old Tampax commercial. Drew Barrymore said in the comments section, “@courteneycoxofficial you know it’s one of my favs.” Even Julianne Moore commented, “Ahahahahahahahahaha.” Yellowjackets star Juliette Lewis wrote a bunch of supportive emojis.
