Course Preview: Crankworx Cairns Dual Slalom

An exciting week of racing has kicked off in Australia. After qualifying on Wednesday, racers who advance to the finals will compete in the Specialized Dual Slalom, the first live streamed race at Crankworx Cairns on Thursday, May 23rd.

Watch Jordy Scott and Jackson Frew preview the course.

Dual Slalom is an exciting genre of racing where riders take head-to-head laps down each side of the course. The winner advances in the bracket.

Canadian Jakob Jewett and Brit Martha Gill are the defending slalom winners from Crankworx Rotorua last month. Frew and Scott placed well getting second and third respectively.

Though conflicts with the World Cup in Europe leave Cairns short on some of the bigger-name racers who appeared at Rotorua, the slalom is shaping up to be electric.
