Of Course Gwyneth Paltrow’s Abs Are Unreal

Summer may be winding down, but a bit of beach-y fitness inspiration is seasonless, really—particularly when the toned aesthetic is a result of a truly cultivated lifestyle. This past Monday, Gwyneth Paltrow hit the beach in the Hamptons in the company of her husband Brad Falchuk—and ex-husband Chris Martin along with his girlfriend Dakota Johnson, but that’s another sort of aspirational entirely—her sun-kissed and sculpted physique on full display.

The 46-year-old opted for a gray bikini top and pale blue shorts, a perfectly sporty combination that meant focus was pulled all the more insouciantly to her chiseled limbs and abs. The actress-turned-wellness guru has made a career of self-care, and as such, her body owes much to intention and habit rather than luck or genetics. When asked about her diet, Paltrow has cited clean eating ("Good proteins and lots of vegetables and not too much grain or sugar, and nothing baked”) along with balance (“You're going to have a baguette-and-cheese-and-red-wine frenzy sometimes—but you want it to be a choice you're awake to”).

But when it comes to exercise, Paltrow’s routine is all down to one method—Tracy Anderson’s. Friend and fitness entrepreneur (Paltrow is even an investor in her company) Anderson has created a streamlined routine for Paltrow that targets specific areas of the body, resulting in a shape tweaked consciously from head to toe. "Her method works so well for me. I've seen all these fads come and go, and nothing works for me the way that Tracy's approach does, so I really stick with it. She's amazing." And the proof is on the beach.
