Of Course Céline Dion Gave Tie-Dye an OTT Twist
The summer’s breakout trend has proven itself to be tie-dye, the mood-lifting groovy pattern that has become a major street style staple as of late (for tips on how to throw your own DIY party, read on here). The psychedelic technique once synonymous with counterculture hippiedom has re-emerged in a number of young labels including Long Dawn Emily’s all-natural pieces, and Collina Strada’s camp-counselor inspired collection. But leave it to Céline Dion to level-up the trend with a characteristically over-the-top moment following Woodstock's 50th anniversary weekend.
In a new photo posted by stylist Sydney Lopez, Dion served up a two-piece tie-dye suit by Stella McCartney. The casual white jacket and matching trousers with inked blue detailing were accessorized with chic white ankle-strap sandals. And given a look is always a look with Dion—a statement that is polished yet topped with a dose of flourish—the singer’s bold pose and construction zone backdrop drove the whole fashion moment home.
