This Couple's Olive Garden-Themed Wedding Warms Our Pasta-Loving Hearts

You might love Olive Garden for it’s unlimited salad and breadsticks. You might even be a member of the pasta pass elite. But chances are, your entire relationship did not bud, blossom, and solidify over family-style Italian dinners.

For Samantha Roberts and Jeff Gilleland, Olive Garden was there from the very beginning, not only being the location of their very first dates, but also the sponsor of a seven-night, all-inclusive trip to Italy (via the Pasta Passport). After Gilleland won the trip, he worked with the Olive Garden team to orchestrate a “fantastic plan for a proposal at a vineyard in Tuscany,” Gilleland told Insider.

Naturally, the engagement photos to follow were shot inside the Italian chain. "Doing engagement photos with Olive Garden was the perfect way to not only commemorate our love for each other, but also the special role that Olive Garden has played all along," the Michigan couple told Insider.

As you can imagine, when it came down to planning the wedding menu, there was only one way to go. But Olive Garden’s involvement didn’t stop with the pasta bar. At the reception, Olive Garden gifted every wedding guest with a coveted Pasta Pass (making Saugatuck, Michigan the city with the most Pasta Passes in America). The restaurant also provided menu favorites like bruschetta, mushroom ravioli, chicken and cheese piadina, and five dolcini flavors for dessert.

Just when guests thought the fun was over, the surprise late-night breadsticks bar (endless, of course) arrived to keep the party going. Beside the marinara and alfredo dipping sauces on the table were signs that read "I'll happily marinara you" and "To never ending love and breadsticks."

If that’s not a modern romance, folks, we don’t know what is.
