Couple Stencil Paint Their Patio and Show off How It Looks Two Years Later

A concrete patio is ideal for longevity. The perfect surface for patio fireplaces, late night summer hangouts, and setting the grill up for some home BBQs with friends and family. When most people think of a concrete patio they think of a minimal gray square, but they don’t all have to look like this. In fact, one creative woman actually painted her concrete patio with a super fun stencile, and we are in awe with the finished product, which she goes on to show off how it looks after two years, check it out!

The woman's concrete patio was looking- and feeling- a bit rough. The finish on the concrete had worn away and she was left with bumpy and gritty exposed aggregate. Instead of paying to have a new patio poured the woman put her thinking cap on and did something we haven't seen done before. She painted it a fun pattern with stencils and showed just how well it stood the test of time!

The woman behind this genius patio transformation is Instagram user @shoemakesnew. Her page is filled to the brim with all things home DIYs, organizxation, decorating, and ‘how to’ content that makes doing your own renovations super simple. She is quite popular on the platform reaching nearly 30 thousand followers and over 300 posts.

The woman transformed her old concrete pation by pating on a white pattern with stencils. She goes on to show how it looks two years after the initial paint job, and we are shocked to see that it seriously hasn’t changed a bit.

Now this is a DIY to consider!!
