Couple Shocked to Discover Cat Used Their Greenhouse As a Birthing Center

Most cat lovers eagerly await the day when the cat distribution system will smile upon us and we will meet a stray cat or kitten that needs our help. Well, one couple got an extra special bonus cat distribution day when they went out to their greenhouse.

Just check out where this sweet mama cat decided to have her babies. I am not a doctor or a veterinarian or a nurse or anything but I am pretty sure this is not the most comfortable space to give birth in.

The adorable video was shared by the TikTok account for TheFrekiWolf and people can't get enough of this sweet friendly Calico and her babies! One person said, "That's the cat distribution system they’re all yours now, you can name them after plants or flowers." That's an excellent idea! They can name one Posy! Another person added, "You have been chosen! Good luck with your new kitties!" Yet another replied, "You have been chosen! Good luck with your new kitties!

So many people told the video creator to move mama and her babies inside and he explained that because he has dogs and trains dogs, and because they also have a cat, that wasn't an option. Instead, they found another safe spot for mama and babies.

That seems like a pretty cozy spot for them and now mama and babies will be safe from predators.

I'll admit it, I'm jealous, I'd love to find a pile of kittens! If this ever happens to you, here are some steps you should take to care for a nursing mama and her babies.

What To Do If You Find a Mama Cat and Her Babies

You should first observe from a distance, because if the cat is feral she may run off and leave her babies if you approach her.

If mama seems friendly, in need of help, or she leaves the babies, you can provide her with a safe and warm place to keep them, either a cardboard box or a storage bin with no lid, and towels or blankets. You can also leave food and water. If the cat is in a dangerous spot like near a road you can place the shelter away from it but within her line of vision in hopes mama will relocate her babies there.

You should ask your neighbors and on social media if anyone has lost their cat because sometimes mom cats will stray from home to give birth in privacy.

The Humane Society suggests that it’s never too soon to start contacting local rescue groups and shelters about foster care, low-cost spay/neuter and other veterinary resources, and trap-neuter-return programs in your region. Check out our tips for identifying animal welfare organizations and other resources in your region.

If the mom cat or babies seem sick or injured, place them in a carrier and take them to the vet or your local animal rescue group.

We are so glad this sweet cat came to the right people to help her with her kittens! I'm sure they will all be healthy and safe now, and hopefully will all get spayed or neutered when they are ready and go to wonderful homes.
