The country's tallest water slide is now open at Mt. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells

If you're planning on taking a summer vacation to the Dells, you'll have a new attraction to try out — the Rise of Icarus at Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, which the Wisconsin Dells theme park says is America's tallest water slide.

The attraction has a 145-foot tower with five different body slides. Riders climb to the middle platform of the tower to go down one of four 60-foot water slides; the bravest of the brave climb all the way to the top to slide down The Fall.

The new attraction will debut to the public Friday, May 24, when the outdoor water park opens for the season.

Later this summer, Mt. Olympus will open another new attraction — an outdoor children's water play area with 10 slides, water play features and a wading pool. The children's section is scheduled to open July 4.

Mt. Olympus' hotel and indoor water park are open year-round, and the outdoor water park and theme park area are open through the summer.
