Allen's wife, Alexis Gale, is currently pregnant with the pair's third child.

Jimmie Allen and wife Alexis Gale are calling it quits.

The country crooner, 36, made the shocking announcement in a social media statement on Friday, April 21, while further surprising his followers with the news that Gale, 27, is also pregnant with the pair's third child together.

"After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate," the "Down Home" singer wrote via Instagram on Friday night. "As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year."

The statement continued, "Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another."

"In light of our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time," Allen concluded the message. Gale also shared the same post to her own Instagram account as well.

The former couple—who first got engaged in Disney World back in 2019—first tied the knot in a private ceremony the following year, though they didn't share the news publicly until August 2021.

Allen and Gale are already parents to two daughters together: Naomi Bettie, 3, and Zara James, 17 months. Allen also has a son, Aadyn, from a previous marriage.

They have not revealed any further details about their current pregnancy, except that the baby is expected to arrive later this year.
