Country Singer Jake Flint Dead at 37 Just Hours After His Wedding

Jake Flint tragically passed away just hours after his wedding on Saturday, Nov. 26.

Jake Flint, an up-and-coming country music singer, has sadly died. He was 37.

Flint passed away in his sleep just hours after his wedding on Saturday, Nov. 26, his publicist, Clif Doyal revealed to The Oklahoman on Monday.

According to the outlet, the Oklahoma native tied the knot with his bride Brenda Flint in a beautiful ceremony on Saturday at a remote homestead between Claremore and Owasso, just hours before tragically dying in his sleep. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

His former manager, Brenda Cline, also confirmed the news with an emotional Facebook post late on Sunday, calling the late songwriter the "funniest, most hilarious, hardest working, dedicated artist I have ever worked with in my career."

She also shared a photo of herself and Flint from when they signed their artist management contract, saying it was "the beginning of a wonderful friendship and partnership," although she wrote that she considered Flint as more than just a client for her, as she "loved him much like a son."

"We were just about to embark on some business together after he and Brenda got married—which was yesterday. Yes-yesterday," Cline added, as the music artist was expected to return to his tour on Dec. 2 following his wedding.  "Jake has a million friends and I’m not sure how everyone will cope with this tragic loss."

"We need prayers- it’s all so surreal. Please please pray for his new wife Brenda, Jake’s precious mother, his sister and the rest of his family and friends. This is going to be incredibly difficult for so many. We love you Jake and in our hearts forever," she concluded.

His wife Brenda also took to Facebook after the news was announced, sharing a video of the newlyweds dancing around and embracing each other while posing for wedding photos under a tree.

"I don't understand," she wrote in response to the clip, taken just hours before her husband passed away.

"We should be going through wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in," she wrote in a follow-up post on Tuesday. "People aren't meant to feel this much pain. My heart is gone and I just really need him to come back. I can't take much more. I need him here."
