The 56th annual CMA Awards aren't until November 9, but it's never too soon to get excited about the show known as Country Music's Biggest Night. The dresses! The performances! The speeches! We're counting down the days.

The show is known for iconic hosting duos (think Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker, Vince Gill and Clint Black). American Idol judge Luke Bryan took on hosting duties solo for last year's show, and he's returning for the 2022 event. But this year, he's bringing along one of his very famous friends, and, no, he's not a fellow country music star.

Surprise! This year, the show will be co-hosted by none other than NFL superstar Peyton Manning. The Country Music Association announced the news on their Instagram page, along with a funny video of Luke doing his best Peyton Manning impression. Of course, fans had lots of thoughts on the pairing.

  • "What a combo!! 🤠🏈"

  • "OMAHA!!!!!! 🙌🏈🏆 this will be the best #CMAawards yet!!!"

  • "This is going to be amazing 🤩 😂"

  • @lukebryan is our favorite musician and @peytonmanning is our favorite football player! Our niche is sports and country music. This is the best duo ever!! 🎶 🏈"

Peyton shared the news on his Instagram page, along with a video of him singing alongside Luke. Let's just say we hope he leaves the performing up to his cohost!

We can't wait to see what else is in store for Country Music's Biggest Night! Catch the broadcast on November 9 on ABC and Hulu.
