Could Jennifer Aniston Be the Godmother to Katy Perry's Baby?

UPDATE July 20, 2020 at 9:45 A.M.: Katy Perry is clearing up rumors that she asked Jennifer Aniston to be the godmother of the baby she is expecting with Orlando Bloom. On an episode of KIIS1065's Kyle and Jackie O, the singer explained, "She texted us, because we are friendly with her and Orlando is one of her good friends, and we were like, 'Wow! This is a wild rumor.'" Perry went on, "I mean, God knows, she's, you know, with her, she's had everything said about her. But I guess this is a fun rumor. But no, we have no idea where it came from. But, you know, that is the product of the media and the internet. You should definitely believe everything that you read."

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are expecting their first child any day now and so they are reportedly making some last-minute decisions. Namely, figuring out who will be the baby's godparents.

Well, the answer might just be Perry's good friend Jennifer Aniston.

According to a source for The Daily Mirror, Perry and Aniston have gotten even closer during quarantine taking daily social distance walks together. The source also added that when the couple reportedly asked Aniston, the actress was "pretty chuffed about it as well and cried when they asked her.”

While the rumors may or may not be true (neither parties have confirmed them), Aniston does have some experience in this department. She's the godmother to her best friend Courteney Cox's daughter Coco. Plus, she seems like a great role model and the perfect choice for any parent.

I've been all of it. The world is just a wild time, and it's a wild time to bring life into the world."
