Could Daenerys Still Be Alive on 'Game of Thrones'?
Within the first forty-five minutes of the Game of Thrones series finale, Jon Snow stabs Daenerys in the heart, right after she tells him about a time in her life when she couldn’t count to twenty. Blood pours from her nose and mouth, and she dies in Jon’s arms. Drogon arrives at the scene, destroys the Iron Throne, and flies away with his mother’s body.
Yes, that's how Daenerys Targaryen met her end. Yet some fans are still in the denial phase of their grief, and think there’s a chance she’s alive. Although the show wants you to think Daenerys is definitely dead, this theory makes sense. Sort of.
In Season 6, Kinvara, a Red Priestess of the Lord of Light, comes to Mereen from Volantis. Tyrion Lannister and Varys ask her to help spread positive news about Daenerys by telling the common people she's a liberator, not a conqueror. Kinvara tells them they don’t need to convince her; she believes Daenerys is “the prince who was promised” or Azor Ahai.
In the finale moments of the finale, King Bran’s counselors inform him that Drogon was last seen flying east. He could be flying Daenerys’s body to Volantis, so Kinvara can bring her back to life with the power of the Lord of Light, just like Melisandre did for Jon Snow, and Thoros of Myr did for Beric Dondarrion several times.

In the A Song of Ice and Fire books, there are some wargs who can live inside the mind of an animal after their human form dies. This is confirmed in the prologue of A Dance with Dragons, when a wilding named Varamyr wakes up in the body of one of his wolves after dying:
“It is possible for the warg to live a type of second life, a much simpler life inside the mind of an animal he controls. In the second life, the skinchanger's [warg's] memory slowly fades until nothing of the man is left and only the beast remains.”
Bran is the only confirmed warg left on Game of Thrones, but there is a chance that Daenerys literally became a dragon (like her brother Viserys and many other Targaryens claimed to be) when she died, and warged into Drogon. This could explain why Drogon destroyed the Iron Throne instead of burning Jon.
It would have been pretty cool if Daenerys literally became a dragon, but like the Kinvara theory, if this were the case, the show would’ve shown it-or at least hinted at it.
While the theories that Daenerys is alive would be valid with more evidence from the finale, we can only conclude that Dany is, in fact, dead-for good. Drogon is likely flying her body east to Old Valyria, so his mother can be at peace in the place where the Targaryens originated.
