What it Costs to Purchase Disney's Recently Listed Haunted Mansion

Disney is already trying to offload the property where they filmed the upcoming Haunted Mansion, out in theaters on July 28, but it won't take the millions you're probably thinking in order to secure it.

The 13,195 square-foot mansion, located just a few minutes from downtown New Orleans, LA, popped up on Zillow this week, and it's the perfect purchase for those looking for a historic home, as long as they don't mind a few cobwebs, spooky statues, or ghosts—because they're not even trying to hide the fact that this place is haunted.

"Only minutes from downtown New Orleans, just outside the city on a secluded bayou road, this property, which dates back to the late 19th century, has been miraculously preserved in its original condition," the listing touts. "It is important to disclose that this property is indeed haunted, and its inhabitants inflict terror and promise eternal entrapment to all who enter. We are certain that you will find this place irresistible and promise that once you see it in person, you will find it impossible to leave it behind."

The combination of Gothic Revival and Victorian architecture is certainly eye-catching, but you're not imagining that eerie feeling! This gated property, which amounts to 58,833 square feet in total, was practically designed to keep your hostages guests trapped secured safely inside, with a welcoming foyer and spacious ballroom to keep them entertained. Don't forget the never-ending hallway, a library stockinged with haunting collections, the foreboding attic, conservatory, and more.

Amenities include heating via brimstone fireplaces and cooling—seemingly at random, but there's no parking available, with the listing agent instead suggesting you run. In all that space, there are also only five bedrooms and two bathrooms, but some would call it a steal for the price because it won't cost much—just your soul!

That's right, the listing is all in good fun to promote the upcoming flick, but it does mark the first close-up look at much of the set, highlighting the impressive attention to detail the designers paid to each room.
