Costco Is Selling Dog Toys That Look Like Its Popular Food Court Items

Like pretty much every business in the US, Costco has had to make some adjustments to how it operates in 2020. For a time, that meant closing down its beloved food courts, since, you know, indoor dining isn’t the best idea right now. Luckily, it looks like Costco has at least reopened (some of) its food courts for takeout orders in the time since they issued a mandatory mask order.

Now, it looks like there’s one new Costco product that can help your favorite four-legged friend get in on the food court fun without running the risk of doing their business inside. As spotted by @CostcoGuy4u, Costco appears to be selling a four-pack of food court-themed toys made by Bark, the makers of BarkBox.

This set of dog toys features anthropomorphized versions of Costco food court staples, specifically a slice of (pepperoni) pizza, a hot dog (seemingly with relish), and a fountain soda. To round it all out, your pup can get their paws on their very own (plush, non-transferrable) Costco membership card.

This marks the second time in recent days that BarkBox has teamed up with a restaurant (or food court) to release a line of themed toys. Dunkin’ recently released a plush box of munchkins in an effort to raise money for their Dunin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.

While the price point just under $16 is definitely more than what you’d pay for a hot dog, soda, and slice of pizza from Costco’s famously frugality-friendly food court, these plush toys will hopefully bring repeated joy to dogs. Maybe they’ll start selling a cat scratching post that looks like a pair of Kirkland Signature jeans soon.
