Costco Revives Kirkland Brand Irish County Cream in Time for St. Patrick’s Day

With the calendar now turned over to March, the countdown to St. Patrick’s Day is officially on. While there’s any manner of green foods and Shamrock Shakes out there to enjoy, let’s be real: you're probably going to want to have at least one drink if you plan on celebrating everyone’s favorite Irish-themed holiday in appropriate fashion.

Luckily, you don’t have to break the bank or even stop at a proper liquor store in order to get the Patty’s Day party started properly. That’s because you’ll find all the seasonally-appropriate booze you need at Costco, of course. As spotted by Instagram account @CostcoBuys, the big box retailer has revived a classic Kirkland brand Irish Country Cream just in time for your March drinking needs.

Based on the caption from @CostcoBuys, this Kirkland Irish Country Cream is a “creamy blend of chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut flavors… plus of course Irish whiskey!” In terms of composition and its 13.9 percent ABV, it would seem to be pretty comparable to Bailey’s, except even better in @CostcoBuys’ estimation.

Of course with this being Costco, one of the key selling points for this 1.5 liters of tasty booze is its $9.79 price point. Heck, it’s hard to find a decent cocktail for cheaper than that these days, so I would sure consider taking advantage of that kind of deal while you can. Sure, Bailey’s may clock in at a more potent 17 percent ABV, but it’ll cost you probably twice as much to purchase. And when it comes to alcohol that you’re going to be putting in your coffee on March 17, it’s a marathon and not a sprint.

No word on how well this paris with Costco’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed ravioli, but give it a shot. After all, you have the entire rest of the year to not go crazy eating and drinking Irish-themed stuff. Live it up a little.
