Costco Is Opening New Stores Across The U.S.

If working for Costco has been a dream job of yours, then here's your chance to make your that dream becomes reality. As the warehouse brand slowly returns to normal with reinstated samples and food court seating, they're also ramping up their visibility with plans to open new locations across the U.S. and around the world.

According to the Costco website, seven new warehouse locations are scheduled to open throughout summer 2021 with one being in Moriyama, Japan (right outside of Kyoto) in July and another in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales in Australia in August. If you won't find yourself anywhere near Japan and Australia, don't fret. More July openings are stateside, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Moore, Oklahoma. The month of August, however, will only see two additional openings in Springfield, Missouri and Naperville, Illinois.

Residents of Murfreesboro will be the first to see their new location; Costco notes that the facility will open its doors at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20. Little Rock and Moore are set to open on July 21 and July 22, respectively.

So what does that mean for your dreams of working at Costco? For most locations, hiring is already underway. In Springfield specifically, local news station KY3 notes that the new warehouse location is looking to hire anywhere between 150 and 200 employees prior to their August 18 grand opening. And since they're on a hiring spree, one can only expect for the other warehouses to do the same.

Also worth noting: Most of the new locations scheduled to open are offering new membership deals (aka really big savings) for a limited time.
