Costco Just Dropped a Deliciously Cheesy New Item, and Shoppers Call It 'Dangerous'

Have you ever walked down the bread aisle at your local grocer or browsed the bakery section and found yourself fawning over all the things bread can be? There’s no form bread can’t take, and the iterations and riffs on the classic baked good are truly endless. You’ve got sourdough, soda bread, bagels, croissants, focaccia, baguettes, tortillas...the list could go on for days. The humble byproduct of mixing flour and water has continued to satiate us for millennia, and we definitely get our fill — to the tune of about 53-pounds per person a year.

While we certainly consume the essential sandwich ingredient and before dinner staple year-round, the holidays give rise to more complex fare, and the carb-filled goodies seem almost never-ending. Although in the not-too-distant past, we all became parents to bubbly sourdough starters and took to our kitchens to tackle making intricate loaves of dough, taking the time to make bread during the holidays can be a daunting task, to say the least.

Dedicated Costco account @costcobuys shared the new cheese-filled offering on Instagram and fans went wild at word of the delicious dinner roll upgrade. Each package contains 12 mini buttery brioche loaves filled with garlic and herb Boursin cheese and for those of you unfamiliar, Boursin is top tier. The soft pillowy bread gives way to a creamy cheesy interior and all it takes is a pass in the air fryer or oven for 6 to 7 minutes to warm up the elevated brioche roll. You can grab a box for the low price of $12.69 and at just $1.06 per bun, you might want to grab more than one.

Of course it didn’t take long for fans to profess their love of the new item and if the comments are any indication, grabbing your keys will probably be in the near future. “OH MY LORD. How dangerous 🤤🤤,” exclaimed one person. “I bet they are bomb 💣,” said another. Out of the sea of comments, only one shopper seems unimpressed with the item saying, “I love Boursin and I love bread but I did not love these.”

We’ll take those odds any day and if you happen to take a chance and try these yourself, it might be worth it to grab a box of these French Petits Fours to complement your newly acquired dinner rolls.
