Costco Drops Soft S'mores Cookies and They're 'Going Fast'

You can argue that any season is s'mores season, but balmy summer nights are prime time for bonfires and fire pits, which just aren't the same without some roasted marshmallows.

And while a straight-up s'more is pretty great, Costco just dropped a hybrid treat that does the campfire classic one better: soft s'mores cookies. In a shock to absolutely no one, the Internet has already tried them and reported back—and we've got all the sweet, sticky details.

Laura, the woman behind Costco Hot Finds, spotted the newest Costco Bakery release and posted it on her Instagram and TikTok pages, where she has more than 2 million followers combined.

"I spotted S'mores Cookies in the Costco bakery," Laura dished. "They're 24 in a box. They were selling so fast, and I could tell as soon as I took them out of the package how soft they were."

Then, she shared the genius thing she did before digging in.

I put one in the air fryer for a minute, and they came out so gooey and delicious," Laura said. "These are dangerous," she revealed.

S'more, Please: Costco Fans Love the Soft S'mores Cookies

Laura is a fan, but what about her followers? After all, some recent Costco bakery items, like the Strawberries & Cream Cake, have been pretty polarizing.

"*hops in car and speeds to Costco, crashing into anything that gets in the way,*" wrote an Instagram follower.

"Looks like I’m going to Costco tomorrow," said another.

"Take my money now!" wrote another.

Others had already given the new bakery item a try.

"They are sooo good, especially heated up for like 25 seconds," spilled someone.

Another suggestion?

"If they added a pinch of salt on top, they’d be perfection," someone wrote on Instagram.

The reactions were similar on TikTok, though one bold commenter shared a less-than-glowing review.

"Those cookies are pretty bad. Marshmallows in cookies don't mix," the person wrote.

Others respectfully disagreed.

"I tried it tonight because of this video — they were so fresh and delicious!" wrote another.

Costco bakery items tend to go fast. And with the 4th of July coming, these will likely pique other shoppers' interests. One TikToker offered some advice just in case the Soft S'Mores Cookies are nowhere to be found at your local Costco:

"Assemble a s'more: Graham cracker, chocolate bar [and] marshmallow on a baking sheet. Cover with cookie dough and bake...literally the best," the person said.

Which got us thinking, what if we toasted a marshmallow and then sandwiched it between two of the Costco cookies? Be right back. Gotta get the fire going.
