Let us be the first to say—Costco's bakery section is on fire this spring. First, it gave us the *iconic* Reese's-inspired chocolate peanut butter pie. Then it brought back a fan-favorite, the pull-apart cinnamon rolls. Now, another bakery item—fresh out of the Kirkland bakery oven—is causing quite the stir.

The new cake is fruity, zesty, and hefty—at a whopping 2 pounds. It would appear that Costco abides by the motto, "Go big or go home," seeing at its last viral dessert, the chocolate-peanut butter pie, weighed in at a massive 4.5 pounds. The cake is making quite the splash, racking up comments on Costco fan Instagram accounts and views on TikTok. And, according to some outlets, it's selling out fast. The New Costco Lemon Blueberry Loaf

The latest Kirkland bakery innovation is a springtime staple: Lemon Blueberry Loaf. The massive, 2-pound loaf features a yellow, pound cake-like batter studded with fresh blueberries, topped a crunchy streusel topping and tangy lemon icing drizzle.

Here at Allrecipes, we love the combination of lemon and blueberry. It's equal parts tart, tangy, and sweet, and the two fruits complement each other so well. So, naturally, we were sold on this dessert from the jump. But, the comments on social media really sold us.

"New lemon blueberry loaf is fire," posted one Reddit user. "Got one last weekend....it's so moist and delish," and, "It’s my new favorite!," read the comments on a TikTok video.

Of course, like everything on the internet, the cake has its haters. Some commenters said it was lacking lemon flavor, while other reviewers appeared to be missing streusel on theirs. A few astute customers noted that it seems the lemon flavor is in the icing, not the cake, so be sure to pick one with lots of icing if you love lemon.
