It's practically December. Well, at least it is according to grocery store aisles. There are so many eggnog, peppermint, and hot cocoa-flavored items to choose from already but the most exciting seasonal items are the advent calendars popping up in stores. Sometimes sweet, sometimes savory, but often very, very boozy, advent calendars are a great way to countdown the days until Christmas and Costco's popular beer version is back.

Last year, the Brewer's Advent Calendar hit the wholesale retailer in late September. It looks like this year they're following the same timeline because Instagram user @Costco_empties spotted the 2020 edition of the calendar at their local Costco for $59.99.

The price is the same as last year, as is the whole concept of the calendar. It comes with 24 cans of exclusive imported German beer with an extensive list of the brews on the side of the box. There's even a corresponding app you can download to learn more about each beer as you try them out. When it comes to products like these there's something for everyone and thankfully Costco has a beer calendar and a wine calendar covered. Praise be.

News flash: it's not even October, so technically, we haven't even entered the holiday season yet. I know! Exciting. Still, that hasn't stopped holiday foods and advent calendars filled with candy and booze from popping up in stores. The latest? A beer advent calendar has popped up at Costco.

Instagrammer @Costco_doesitagain spotted the store already selling Kalea's Brewer's Advent Calendar. It's basically one of those chocolate advent calendars you had as a kid, but behind each of the 24 doors is a can of beer.

According to Kalea's site, the calendar is filled with different types of German beer and is designed specifically to showcase small-craft brewers who are not available in larger supermarkets. So not only does this calendar give you a variety of booze to try, it will also give you some serious cred when it comes to talking to craft beer bros. That obscure beer from Germany? Yeah, you've heard of, alright! You've already tried it.

At $59.99, it's a bit of a pricy get, but think about how much you normally pay for four six-packs, let alone six-packs that come in very festive packaging and it probably doesn't seem so steep after all.

The calendar will technically be available at Costco on October 1, but obviously some places have already started putting it out early, so it's definitely worth keeping your eyes peeled or calling ahead to see if your specific location has it.
