Costa Rica Beach Hosting Thousands of Nesting Sea Turtles Is Unusual

What a sight to see!

Seeing sea turtles nesting on the beach or even the little baby sea turtles making their way into the ocean has been on our bucket list forever. And now, we have a feeling others will be adding it to their must-do all thanks to this very informative video from National Geographic Explorer Dr. Vanessa Bezy.

In the video which was posted to TikTok account @natgeo, Dr. Bezy explains the sea turtle nesting phenomenon in Costa Rica. This occurrence at Ostional National Wildlife Refuge is special as sea turtles typically nest in solidarity or at night. Just wait until you see this sight!

Wow! This is seriously so beautiful! We only thought sea turtles nested alone, but shows it in a whole new light. It must be so amazing to see the beach change to be covered with these beautiful animals. "I would love to see this so amazing. Thank you for the knowledge," commented @lesleyhubbard10. This is an essential bucket-list item!

"So cool. I'm glad they have this place to nest," wrote @m1chcc. SAME! Not only do they have this wildlife refuge to nest in, but they also have each other. @candacejeanrose added, "These sea turtles know...better together! Love this! Thank you for sharing!" And even the babies have each other to help them get back to the ocean. SO cute!

Another TikTok user, @earthcareshow, said, "Baby turtles scurrying to the water will forever be the cutest thing!" RIGHT?! We could watch them scurrying into the water every single day for the rest of our lives. Name something cuter. We'll wait!
