How Celebrities Are Keeping Busy While Staying Inside During the Coronavirus Pandemic

The best way to slow the spread of the coronavirus (the virus that causes COVID-19) is to stay indoors and avoid social contact outside your household. Despite the importance of social distancing, everyone seems to be fighting against looming cabin fever—including celebrities.

Just like the rest of us, some celebs have tested positive for the coronavirus, while many have committed themselves to their communities by giving back.

Like John Legend, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello, who are posting live concerts on their Instagram stories, other actors, musicians, and Hollywood folks are offering examples of what they're doing to pass the time at home. Lizzo, for example, is reaching out to her followers and leading them in flute sessions. Others are taking a more laid-back approach: J.Lo and A.Rod are social-distancing together, Zoë Kravitz is chilling with her dog, and Madonna is leading sing-along sessions from her room. Here's a look at how your faves are staying busy at home.

Lizzo

Lizzo has been leading meditation sessions and giving people some room to relax by playing her flute at home. "A practice in connectivity during this social distance. Please enjoy," she wrote in a post that shows her playing for her followers.

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez is not moving from her home with fiancé Alex Rodriguez. She uploaded a video of her son bringing out drinks from their Miami mansion, which social media users joked looks like a scene from Parasite.

"We can’t go out to any restaurants or anything but the service and entertainment here is pretty good," Lopez wrote.

Zoë Kravitz

Kravitz is as chill as ever. The actor shared a selfie that shows her hanging out with her dog. "Self(ie) quarantine. stay inside kids. one day at a time," she advised her social media fans.

May we suggest bingeing her Hulu series, High Fidelity?

Kylie Jenner

Jenner is looking for movie recs as she hunkers down. She shared a regal selfie from her mansion and asked her followers to send her ideas for fun things to watch—suggestions included Frozen 2, Great Expectations, and Outbreak.

Katy Perry

Perry is at home, battling the urge to eat all her isolation snacks. Stars, they truly are just like us.

The pop star, who announced earlier this month that she is expecting, shared a shot that shows her standing in her kitchen, annihilating a jar of pickles.

Madonna

Madonna is making the most of her time in her house and staging karaoke parties. She shared a video of her having fun changing up the lyrics to "Vogue" and yelling them into a hairbrush.

Jenna Dewan

Dewan is spending time with her kids, who might be having a little more trouble social-distancing than she is. She jokingly shared a shot that shows her daughter coping with cabin fever.

Selena Gomez

Gomez is teaching everyone to follow handwashing protocol by participating in the #SafeHands Challenge, which was designed to help people practice good habits to avoid the spread of COVID-19. After she was nominated by Arianna Huffington, she took some time to show her best practices at home and broadcasting the tips on Instagram.

Jessica Alba

Alba is practicing self-care at home with her kids, complete with eye masks and face serums.

Dua Lipa

A luxury bubble bath is definitely one way to pass the time, as Lipa has proved.

Taylor Swift

Swift is trying to live like her cats for the time being. "For Meredith, self quarantining is a way of life," she wrote in the caption. "Be like Meredith."

Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron

The Bachelorette alums continue their will-they, won't-they shenanigans by uploading TikTok videos they're taking in Florida with their friends, who are calling themselves The Quarantine Crew. The two fan favorites are doing everything they can to avoid boredom by posting silly dance videos by the pool, completing the #Fliptheswitch challenge, and pranking Hannah as much as possible. Tyler has even tried to teach Hannah how to correctly pronounce his name! Can these two just date already?
