Corey Feldman Splits From Wife as She Deals With Health Issues
Actor Corey Feldman and his wife Courtney Anne Mitchell have announced their decision to separate after seven years of marriage.
Feldman shared the news in a statement to Page Six. "It is with great sadness that Courtney and I have made the decision to separate after many wonderful years together," he said.
"We have been through so much together and still have much love and respect for each other. There is no one to blame. This is a case of life becoming really hard, Courtney dealing with health issues, and two people who have grown apart and now find themselves at a crossroads."
Feldman added that "due to Courtney’s health concerns and the process of healing" she would not continue on with his band's current LOVE ReTours 23 tour, which features performances from Feldman's latest album, Love Left 2: Arm Me With Love, as well as songs from the soundtracks of his classic movies.
"On behalf of myself and my band, we all love her and ask for your prayers in wishing her a speedy recovery. We don’t know what the future will hold, but we know that the love we have for each other is not going anywhere."

Who is Corey Feldman's estranged wife, Courtney Anne?
Before marrying Feldman, Courtney Anne Mitchell worked as a model. She's also performed as her husband's "Maingel" (main angel) and DJ while he's been on tour.

Feldman and Mitchell got married in Las Vegas in 2016, soon after the presidential election (more on the significance of that timing in a moment).
At the time of their engagement, Feldman told People, "I was of course a bit nervous, as any man will admit, you never truly know what a woman is thinking. So as much as I assumed she would be happy and say ‘yes,’ there’s always that insecure part of my brain that regresses immediately to my childhood and thought maybe not."
He added, "So I kinda chickened out and did a written proposal by writing a note with two check boxes, one for yes and the other for no. Of course there was a ring in there with the note. Luckily she said ‘yes!’"
Feldman also said that his proposal had a lot to do with the results of the election. "She was very surprised, excited and started crying. She was surprised because we had both been so anti-marriage since we met," he said. "But seeing as she’s Canadian and with [Donald] Trump coming in, we didn’t want to risk being separated by new immigration laws."

What condition does Courtney Anne have?
In her own statement to Page Six, Mitchell explained that her health has been deteriorating for two years. "I’ve struggled for two years with health issues old and new; and this has taken a massive toll on me and my family," she said. "I always try to keep positive and a light heart regardless of what I am going through physically, but sadly it has now crossed a threshold where I can no longer continue on with the tour."
Mitchell added, "It’s been a long journey of dealing with my own chronic fatigue syndrome which makes it difficult to keep up with the high energy of touring and traveling from place to place… However, I do wish ‘My Love, Husband, & Friend,’ and the bandmates a happy tour and the very best out there. I know they will be amazing as they put on a great show."
