Deep-clean your kitchen floors with this cordless 2-in-1 wet/dry vac— and save $135

Recently I've been binge-watching the excellent Netflix series Atypical. In one episode, someone drops an entire gallon of milk in the kitchen, resulting in moo-juice going everywhere. Someone else grabs a roll of paper towels, but let's face it: That kind of spill is going to need real cleaning.

From something like a Tineco wet-dry vacuum. This appliance handles both wet and dry messes, and it doubles as a hand vac. Regularly $450, the Tineco Floor One S5 Combo can be yours for $315 when you apply promo code PRDEALS5 at checkout. This is the largest discount on record for this product. (Previous best deal: $360.)

Got hard floors? This handy vac will suck up your toughest spills. It's also a hand-vac, great for getting in between those couch cushions and the like. Use promo code PRDEALS5 at checkout.

At first glance, the Floor One S5 looks like a fairly traditional upright vacuum, but it's really more of a floor washer. In place of the usual brush-type roller you see under most vacuums is a solid, fuzzy roller designed to seriously scrub a hard floor.

The Floor One employs two tanks: One that holds clean water (and a dash of Tineco's cleaning solution) and another for the dirty water that gets sucked up.

But this is a hand vac, too: You just push a button to release the upper part, then snap in a crevice tool or 2-in-1 brush tool. (These items reside in a standalone storage tray when not in use.)

The vacuum itself docks in a charger/stand that also allows for self-cleaning, again with the push of a button.

I recently got the chance to test-drive the S5 Combo, and here's what I can tell you: It works really well on wet or sticky floors, but it's kind of a complicated device — at first, anyway. There's just a lot going on here. For starters, there's a companion app — yes, this vacuum has Wi-Fi — that can provide maintenance updates and cleaning reports, but do you really need that? I say skip it.

I also had a hard time figuring out the various status indicators on the digital display, which indicate things like eco mode and dirt monitoring. Call me old-fashioned, but I find that stuff superfluous. Just suck up the spilled milk and be done with it, vacuum!

Even so, if you have a little kids, pee-prone animals or other liquid-mess creators, there's no question the S5 Combo is a great tool to have on hand. And the hand vac is a superb addition.

Already own one of the latter? There's a higher-end Tineco model that doesn't have the hand-vac option, instead offering more suction power, larger water tanks and longer battery life. You can get the Floor One S5 (non-Combo version) for $350 (save $150) with promo code PRDEALS5.

This is the more powerful of the two wet-dry vacs, but it doesn't have the hand-vac option. Use promo code PRDEALS5 at checkout.
