Copper Mountain, CO Announces Latest Closing Date Since 1996

Copper Mountain will officially close on May 12th, 2024--one of its longest seasons ever on record.

To celebrate, Copper will have a lineup of DJs in Center Village offering tunes for the final two weekends of the season. Yesterday, Copper Mountain posted information regarding the last 10 days of skiing. See below.

The caption reads, "we’ll be staying open through May 12th for the 23/24 season; that’s the latest the lifts have been spinning since the 95/96 season! 10 more days could easily be another 100,000’ of vert...what do you have in you to make it your biggest year yet?" "Great snow conditions (60 inches last month alone) and four terrain parks."

Copper Mountain saw an 18 inch powder day on April 16.

The influx of late season snow paired with Copper's high elevation and north facing aspect has made for a well preserved snow surface.

Starting Monday, May 6, skiing and riding operations will be based solely out of Center Village with access to the mountain via the American Eagle lift. Copper will have four terrain parks open including a hike park with rail features at the top of American Eagle, access to the 22-foot Superpipe, a cross course adjacent to the top of the superpipe, and rail and jump features located below the base of the superpipe.

Parking is free in all interior lots excluding Ten Mile.

Copper's uphill Route 1 up to Aerie lodge will remain open before and after hours. An armband and uphill pass is required to participate.
