Conor McGregor is about to make his big Hollywood debut in the Road House remake next month. And the bombastic UFC champion should fit right in with the A-list, as he's already become known for his chic style almost as much as his fighting prowess.

Among other things, the 35-year-old is rarely seen without a pricey luxury watch on his wrist. But as he explained in a new GQ Sports segment this week, "10 Things Conor McGregor Can't Live Without," that wasn't always the case. Well, while he has always been spotted with Rolexes, McGregor admitted that he used to wear fake watches early into his fighting career.

"I’ve got many great watches," he explained, showing off his bling. "This one in particular is very special, because it comes from an Irish jeweler named Weir and Sons, which is one of the most known jewelers in Ireland. And this watch is a Patek Philippe, which is a very exclusive watchmaker. They made this watch specifically for Weird and Sons jewelers in Ireland. And it’s got the Irish colors. There’s only 25 of them made. And you know I had to get it."

"You ever hear the term, you got to fake it 'til you make it?" he continued. "Before anything, I was getting the fake ones. I was rocking the fake ones like this, but proud."

McGregor recalled how he got his first "real" watch, a solid-gold Rolex Sky-Dweller, as a gift from former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta after competing in UFC Dublin in 2013.

"So after the belt I won the belt, got a knockout in the first round, it was a mega-successful event, we all went out to dinner with the Fertitta family and they gifted me this Rolex," he explained. "It was my first real watch. Before that I was at the press conference wearing a fake one. But you know, you got to fake it to make it. I used to drive a broke-down banger of a car and in my head that was a Ferrari. I was able to almost just believe it into reality."

Say what you will, but McGregor's powers of manifestation are nearly as impressive as his physical strength. And of course, one would have to imagine that he's also got at least one Ferrari in his garage by now.
