Connie Britton Says Rayna James Voted for Obama

Country music may be a staple in Red States, but TV’s reigning Opry queen has a message for fans of Blake, Miranda, and Garth: “Many country music stars are Democrats,” she Connie Britton tells Yahoo Style before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. “And if Rayna James [her character on Nashville] were real, she definitely, would have voted for Obama. Both times!”
“I’m best friends with Michelle Obama myself,” joked the Emmy nominee, a college classmate of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. “Okay, no… but I admire her very much. She’s an extraordinary woman who’s done incredible things for America, and I was thrilled that she came on an episode of Nashville! How amazing was that?”
Very—but maybe not as amazing as a Friday Night Lights reunion. Full House is doing it on Netflix… any chance Coach Taylor and his team would do it, too? "Thank you for loving the show so much, but I would say there is a very slim chance of that,“ Britton answered. ”Veryslim.“
