Whether you toast ‘em, air fry ‘em, or eat ‘em right out of the silver wrapper, Pop-Tarts never disappoint. Well, that is until you find out they’ve discontinued your favorite flavor.

If you’ve been searching for the frosted peach cobbler Pop-Tart in stores, we have bad news for you. Last week, a fan reached out to the brand on Twitter, asking, “Do you still make peach cobbler Pop-Tarts? I just heard of them last week but it seems they've been discontinued.”

The response?

The Southern-inspired flavor, just introduced in 2021, tasted like the sweet, gooey center of a warm peach cobbler paired with a light and flakey pastry topping. Fans say this was the “best flavor by far,” and it was the one flavor that tasted “like what it should.”

One reviewer on the Walmart product page raved, “These are so good alone or heated up with a scoop of vanilla or butter pecan ice cream!” If that doesn’t scream summertime, we don’t know what does.

Could this discontinuation have anything to do with the peach shortage being experienced across the country this year? Unlikely, but it’s a theory.

Luckily, the brand is fulfilling its promise to “fill the void” with plenty of fun flavor offerings on the horizon. Pop-Tarts just released frosted banana bread and frosted apple-cinnamon flavors, plus, an adorable throwback pack (inspired by the old-school 1960s packaging) that practically hits us over the head with nostalgia.

But, if none of those options will satisfy your summertime tastebuds, there’s still one way to enjoy the peach pie flavor. If you try this simple homemade recipe, you can fill up your fresh and flakey toaster pastries with whatever your heart desires, from peach butter to peanut butter.
