If you're anything like us, you've probably been blasting Conan Gray's sophomore album, Superache, on repeat since it dropped last month. The singer-songwriter has pulled tons of memorable looks during his new musical era, including a Barbiecore moment at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April and a sheer crystal-embossed top and silver sequined pants at the Met Gala in May. Conan's songs and their heart-wrenching lyrics speak for themselves as he's an artist to watch, but he's also made a mark on the fashion world with his performance outfits and "grandpa-inspired" off-duty looks.

Conan's latest live performance of "Memories" at the Vevo Music Studio in Brooklyn, New York was not only a masterpiece thanks to his stage presence and killer vocal range, but also his grungy aesthetic through his clothing. He rocked a blue, green, and yellow pleated tartan maxi skirt with a black and red band-inspired cropped tee that reads "supercharged." He topped off the look with gray ankle socks and Doc Marten Audrick Platform Boots. He accessorized with a chunky black and silver belt, chains, and rings.

In a February 2022 interview with GQ, Conan was praised for "redefining masculinity" with his gender-fluid fashion sense, to which he credited the queer community's cultural influence. "I don't think I'm a radical in anything. There are so many people – trans rights activists, queer people, and people of color – who've done so much more for history than I have. I only get to wear skirts and paint my nails because of them," he told the outlet. "So [what I wear is] not something I think about, and that's a privilege. That's something that needs to be recognized by the internet. Maybe that shows how much progress has been made! I wear whatever I feel like wearing. Just like songwriting, I express myself with my clothes."
