You probably know Gordon Ramsay for his blunt demeanor on shows like Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. But you'd be surprised to know that the British chef has actually starred in many shows, some more famous than others. While he's appeared in many one-off cooking specials, this is a comprehensive list of the major shows the celebrity chef has starred in.

Boiling Point

The first TV show Ramsay starred in was the British documentary series Boiling Point, from 1999. The five-episode show followed the chef as he opened his restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. In 2000, the follow-up series Beyond Boiling Point documented his life after opening the restaurant.

Culinary Genius

Both the British cooking competition show and U.S. version aired in 2017.

Gordon Behind Bars

During the show's four-episode season, Ramsay teaches inmates at the UK's Brixton prison how to cook. The inmates eventually create a business called Bad Boys Bakery, selling lemon tarts.

Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip

This British travel show follows Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo, and Fred Sirieix to destinations as they explore food and culture. There are four seasons, plus five specials. Some versions of the show have also aired in the U.S. under different names.

Gordon Ramsay On Cocaine

This two-part documentary series explores cocaine and its impact on the U.K. and particularly, the restaurant industry.

Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours To Hell and Back

Over three seasons, Ramsay travels across the U.S. in a semi-truck that doubles as a kitchen. He visits failing restaurants and helps revamp them.

This British game show only lasted one season.

Competitors compete for prize money to fund their food business in this British reality show. There's also a U.S. version titled Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars.

This National Geographic series has aired for three seasons. In Uncharted, Ramsay travels to remote destinations around the world and explores the culture and cuisine. The spinoff, Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown, is a cooking competition where Ramsay faces off against his daughter, Tilly, and chefs Paul Ainsworth and Mark Waldron.

Gordon's Great Escape

Gordon's Great Escape aired in the U.K. for two seasons. It follows Ramsay as he explored the cuisine of India and Southeast Asia.

Hell's Kitchen

Ramsay is the creator of Hell's Kitchen, a cooking competition show, which aired in the U.K. from 2004 to 2009. He also hosts the U.S. version, which has been on airing since 2005 for 22 seasons and counting.

Hotel GB

In Hotel GB, Ramsay joins several other stars to run a hotel and employ 14 young people. The series only aired for one season in 2012.

Hotel Hell

Ramsay's Hotel Hell aired for three seasons from 2012 to 2016. In the show, he visits failing hotels in an attempt to get them back on track.

Kitchen Nightmares

Like Hell's Kitchen, the U.S. version of Kitchen Nightmares followed the premiere of its U.K. counterpart, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares in 2004. In Kitchen Nightmares Ramsay spends a week with the owners of a failing restaurant. It aired in the U.S. from 2007 to 2014 before Ramsay ended the show. In 2023 Kitchen Nightmares was revived for its eighth season.

MasterChef USA

MasterChef premiered in the U.K. in 1990 and now it has versions all over the world, including the U.S. Ramsay has been a judge on MasterChef USA for all 13 of its seasons. He's also a judge on MasterChef Junior, where contestants ages eight to 13 compete.

Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch

This British show follows the Ramsay family during their summer holidays in places like Los Angeles, Italy, London, and Cornwall.

Next Level Chef

In this cooking competition show, three teams compete in different kitchens, each with varying levels of tools and appliances.

Ramsay's Best Restaurant

In this British show 16 restaurants competed to win the title "Ramsay's Best Restaurant." It aired in 2010 for one season.

Ramsay has played in several episodes of the annual British charity event called Soccer Aid.

The F Word

The F Word aired in the U.K. from 2005 to 2010. The U.S. version aired for just one season in 2017.
