Sad news: Reps for Tayshia confirm that she and Zac have ended their engagement and are no longer together 😭. Just crush all of our hopes and dreams, why don't ya.
According to a source from Page Six, both Tayshia and Zac were feeling the weight of what came with "navigating a public relationship" and "it really started to wear on them each as individuals." The source continued: "They started drifting a part in recent months and ultimately came to realize that they don’t work as a couple."
Neither Tayshia nor Zac have commented about the split publicly.

Tayshia and Zac run the New York City marathon together and, holy smokes, the pics of them from it are the most adorable thing.
Afterward, Zac gushed about his girl in an Instagram post, saying in part, "I will be forever grateful to have had a front row seat to her performance yesterday, as will the thousands of others who cheered her along the way (the screams overpowered the Pearl Jam playing in my ears for most of the day). The world is a better place today then it was yesterday because of you…..KEEP GOING ❤️".

Zac ran the London Marathon (his seventh marathon, NBD) so you know that meant Tayshia had to show up for her man to cheer him on. In an Instagram post after the race, Zac wrote a super adorbs caption calling his lady “the real Queen of London” and thanking Tayshia for all of her support leading up to the big day.
“Fan appreciation post for the real Queen of London ❤️,” wrote Zac. “In all seriousness, thank you for being with me….every step of the way @tayshia. You are up next in NYC….you are gonna help a lot of kids for @worldvisionusa !!!!!” So. Cute.
After the time in London, the pair scuttled off to the City of Love for a lil Parisian baecation, which Tayshia documented on her Instagram Story. You truly love to see that for them.

As if Tayshia and Zac weren’t definitely solidified as a couple, the pair *finally* made their first red carpet appearance together at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and ofc, they were the absolute cutest.

Good news for Tayshia and Zac (and the fans of their relationship)—Tayshia’s dad Desmond is pretty much obsessed with Zac and calls him a “humble” and “genuine” “good guy” during his appearance on Mike Johnson and Bryan Abasolo’s Talking It Out podcast. Tayshia’s dad is basically giving this energy:
“What you see is what you get,” Desmond says. “And that’s what I really liked. A lot of people, as you guys know, they used [being on the show] for whatever [they were] promoting. I think it was pretty new to Zac, if I recall, as well. He wasn’t really a follower [of the show] for so many years or whatnot.”
“During our [first] conversation, we had some good heart-to-hearts, even on our first talks” he continues. “I was happy with him; I was really happy with him. [I’m] so happy with just how things are progressing. It’s nice. He’s a great guy.”

Because to be honest with you, we go through it kind of together when we’re all watching the show. However, you have to realize that it’s a real relationship behind the scenes.”

Before stunning at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, Tayshia sits down with Cosmo to talk about all things Bachelorette...and Zac too, duh!
“We’re doing great; we’re doing well,” she says. “Any wedding planning? No, not really. I’m really just trying to enjoy New York. And I think that’s where our energy is just because, I don’t know, we just want to enjoy each other. Really, that’s what it is. Engagements are supposed to be fun as well, so we’re just making the most of it.”
“The thing is, with the pandemic, it hasn’t been anything too crazy. But his parents are moving back from, they have a place in Naples, Florida. And they’re going back to the shore this weekend. So I’ll finally be able to, like, really hang out with them and have them within driving distance, which is gonna be super fun. Because we haven’t really been able to do that. So that’s the most normal thing we’re doing and looking forward to.”
She also says this about living with Zac: “It’s like a sleepover with your best friend, of course it is. New York has been such a joy to experience. It’s so different living there as opposed to visiting. It’s a different kind of magic. It’s been fun.”

Fans think that Tayshia and Zac broke up because Tayshia is seen without her ring on social media. Thankfully, Tayshia hops on Instagram Stories to clear up the rumors and says a breakup isn’t happening:
“Woke up to hundreds of messages asking this, but y’all, not gonna lie, I don’t like getting DMs putting this weird energy into the universe. Don’t feel like I need to explain this buuutttt—my ring hasn’t been properly sized yet and needed to be cleaned too. It’s currently with Mr. @neillanecouture. I love that there’s so much love and support around our relationship but please don’t put unnecessary rumors/pressure on us.”
Tayshia adds that the ring should be back in her possession by the end of the week.

After The Bachelorette season finale, Tayshia and Zac speak to Us Weekly about the reservations Tayshia’s fam has about their speedy engagement.
“My dad, he always means, obviously, the best and he wants me just to be happy,” Tayshia tells the outlet. “And I feel like I just figured out what I wanted to do after that conversation. I knew what I had to do after talking to him just because I want my family and the person I choose [to have] beside me to get along and I want it all just to work out.”
About the actual proposal day, Tayshia says it was “a whirlwind of emotions,” which is completely understandable! “But also, at the same time, I mean, think about a couple of months prior, I was literally, like I said, sitting in my bed eating doughnuts, like, I did not expect to be on this journey, let alone standing on a platform about to be engaged, proposed to. So, it was just in the famous words of Tayshia, ‘A lot.’”
Zac also says that his relationship with Tayshia’s family is in pretty good place. “They’re the best of all time,” he says. “We had an opportunity to hang a little bit with them last night during the finale. And I’m just so grateful that they’re a part of my life. And it’s no mistake that Tayshia is a byproduct of that family because they’re just really good people.”
