A Complete Timeline of Everything That Goes Down in "The Umbrella Academy" Season 2
If there's anything that we learned from The Umbrella Academy, it's that time travel doesn't always go the way that you originally planned. While Five's plan to escape the original apocalypse in 2019 worked, he and the rest of the Hargreeves siblings suddenly found themselves in the 1960s and nothing was the same. Of course, they didn't arrive all together as they hoped and there was some more time travel along the way, which can make things pretty confusing if you're not paying close attention. Luckily, we made the perfect timeline for you to follow so you can keep up with everything that's going on and be ready for whenever season three premieres.

Here's the complete timeline of everything that happened in The Umbrella Academy season two.
1993
Five, who was working for the Commission at the time, kills Lila's parents. The Handler takes in Lila as her own child and starts to train her under The Commission.
April 1, 2019
The original apocalypse from The Umbrella Academy season one happened and the Hargreeves went back in time to try to stop it.
Three months later
The Handler recovers from her injuries after being shot by Hazel in season one. She goes back to the Commission.
February 11, 1960
Klaus and Ben arrive in Dallas and discover that they have been separated from the rest of the group. Klaus ends up meeting a rich woman and convinces her that he is a prophet, which kickstarts his cult. He travels to Baja, Mexico in 1961, Varanasi, India in 1962, and San Fransisco in 1963. He then escapes back to Dallas.
1961
Allison arrives in Dallas and almost gets mugged by white men. She ends up hiding out in the salon where she works and begins to start her life. Around Christmas, she starts speaking again and goes on a date with Raymond. The two start a relationship and later get married. She also becomes a civil rights activist.
1962
Luther arrives at the same spot and starts to work for Jack Kelly as a bodyguard and becomes a fighter. Pogo arrives at Grace's lab and is trained to go up in space.
September 1, 1963
Diego arrives and starts obsessing over the idea of protecting John F. Kennedy.
October 12, 1963
Vanya arrives and is hit by Sissy's car. She starts to live with her family, becoming a caretaker for Harlan.
November 25, 1963
Five shows up three days after President Kennedy was assassinated. A turn of events cause the Soviet Union to show up on US soil and cause a brand new apocalypse after the United States is bombed with nuclear weapons. After Hazel arrives, he convinces Five to go back in time to try to restore the timeline.
November 15, 1963
Five is back in time and tries to figure out what will cause the apocalypse. He teams up with Elliot to find out more about where his family is. Meanwhile, Hazel is killed by the Swedes.
November 18, 1963
Five, Diego, and Lila sneak into the Mexican consulate to try to find out more about what Sir Hargreeves is up to. That same day, Vanya rescues Harlan after discovering that he drowned in the lake, transferring some of her power to him.
November 19, 1963
The first Swede is killed after setting off a trap created by Diego. Five discovers the truth about Lila.
November 20, 1962
The Umbrella Academy meet up with Sir Hargreeves over dinner and try to find out why he wants to assassinate the president in an effort to stop the apocalypse. Meanwhile, Elliot is killed by the Swedes. Five gets presented with an offer by The Handler.
1982
Fives goes back in time in an effort and kills the entire board of The Commission in order to get a briefcase from The Handler.
November 21, 1962
Five returns to 1962 and receives the briefcase from The Handler. She gives him 90 minutes to get his family together to use it or lose it forever. Diego is kidnapped by Lila. Ben takes over Klaus' body. Allison is attacked by the Swedes and she ends up using her power to get one to kill the other, leaving them with just one Swede left. Unable to get The Umbrella Academy together in 90 minutes, Five's briefcase disappears and they're still stuck in the 60s.
November 22, 1962
The day of John F. Kennedy's assassination. Vanya is taken in by the police who believe her to be a KGB agent. They try to get her to "confess" by electrocuting her, which sparks her powers. It's discovered that by bringing Harlan back to life, she gave him part of her abilities. Ben successfully stops her from blowing up and starting another apocalypse. It's revealed that she actually set off the chain of events that caused a war between the US and the Soviets, not Kennedy's death like was originally believed.
Five meets up with this older-looking-but-actually-younger Five to try to get him to go back to 2018 so they don't set up a time paradox. While they also believed that this would save JFK, they find out that someone in the Majestic 12 is the one who kills him and they are unable to stop him in time.
November 23, 1962
The Handler starts a war against The Umbrella Academy and they fight each other. Meanwhile, Harlan's powers are set off once again and they have to stop him before he destroys everything. During the fight, Lila discovers that the Handler was the one who actually assigned Five to kill her parents. It's also revealed that she was born on the same day as The Umbrella Academy and has the ability to copy someone's powers one at a time. The Handler kills everyone except for Five. He ends up being able to turn back time a couple of seconds and stops her from killing anyone. The last remaining Swede comes and kills The Handler for good this time. He calls a truce with the rest of the Umbrella Academy.
Lila escapes with a briefcase, while Vanya "takes back" her power from Harlan (it's later revealed that she didn't completely take it away). Herb and Dot arrive at the farm and allow the Umbrella Academy to take a briefcase to go back home.
April 2, 2019
One day after the original apocalypse, The Umbrella Academy return home to discover that they ended up stopping it. However, they soon find out that they came back to a different timeline where The Sparrow Academy exists instead, plus Sir Hargreeves and Ben are still alive.
